1970-1979
I believe that the 1970s must have been a very special time for the United States. Whenever I think about them I become very sad that they are gone and that I never got to experience them. The music of the 1970s is still played everyday in most homes via the radio. It reminds me of sunsets, long hair, and gritty colored pictures. The beauty of the 1970s remains with me because I listened to my parents' records growing up. The following artists made me very happy as a kid and their music is beautiful to many people: Judy Collins, James Taylor, Neil Young, Linda Rondstadt, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Led Zepplin, Graham Nash, Steve Crosby, Joanie Mitchell, Carly Simon, Fleetwood Mac, Hall and Oats, The Mamas and the Papas, Jackson Browne, Abba, Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Genesis, Elton John, Wings, Cat Stevens, Rod Stewart, The Scorpions, The Jacksons, Jefferson Starship, Lionel Richie and The Commodores, Pink Floyd, The Ohio Players, Black Sabbath, David Bowie, Earth Wind and Fire, Blondie, Kenny Loggins, Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Cher, Bob Seager, Van Morrison, The Doors, Jimmy Buffet, John Denver, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, The Steve Miller Band, and The Eagles. Which bands from the '70s do you remember listening to as a child?
